It seems like just yesterday we were teething. Boy those were tough times. Now we have a full mouth of pearly whites so Mommy reckoned it was time to take us to the dentist for a check-up.
What a cool place! The office had a fish tank, a mini-movie theater, a sticker dispenser, gum ball machines (toys instead of gum though) and lots of other fun things for kids to play with.
First we got our teeth cleaned (brushed, flossed and polished) and then we got a fluoride treatment. Lucy got right into the chair like a brave little solider. It took Liam a little longer to muster up the courage but eventually he got into his chair.
Then Dr. King counted and examined our teeth. Liam has a little chip on his front tooth from when he fell in his high chair as a baby, but has a perfect 'white picket fence' (meaning good spacing). Lucy has a little chip too (not sure how that happened), and very crowded teeth (meaning future braces). All in all - our chompers are in good shape.
We go back in 6 months so Dr. King can take pictures of our teeth to see if we have cavities. Fingers crossed that our lollipops and M&Ms aren't going away...
P.S. We went straight from school so we're still in our uniforms.

It ain't like it was in the 50s! We didn't have a sticker machine or a fish tank. Still getting over those experiences!

Liam, I gotta tell you.....you didn't want to get in that chair and mommy almost had to lay down with you but once the dentist started brushing your "little pearly's" you totally relaxed and only needed mommy's hand to hold. You really liked all the neat machines hanging down from the ceiling. Lucy, you are always game for anything and curious to see what's going on. Grammy was soooo proud of both of you. Now just make sure you keep brushing like the doc said so you don't get any cavaties. Mind you, the toothpase you got that tastes like vanilla ice cream will probably be an incentive. They didn't have that in the 50's either, hu Aunt Neenie xoxoxoxoxo
