Today Grammy, Aunt Candi and Mommy took us out to Berry Patch Farms to pick this year's pumpkins. It-was-COLD!!! Fifty degrees - in the daytime! Last week we were running around in shorts so we were a little stunned when we first got out of the car - especially Lucy. Not only was it blistery, but it was muddy, and a little smelly. Not her thing. But once she saw Liam running around like he owned the place, she got into the Halloween spirit too.
We got to see farm animals, take a hayride out to the pumpkins and play on an old tractor. The last part was Liam's favorite. There was a line to sit on the tractor and Liam went through it 4 times. Unfortunately he did not want to give up his seat on the fourth trip and had nasty little temper tantrum so we had to leave. But it was starting to rain and we were ready to go anyway.
Afterward we all went and had lunch. Tortilla chips and salsa in a nice warm Mexican restaurant - Lucy was a happy girl.
We can't wait to carve our pumpkins and go trick-or-treating - stay tuned...
