The pool's open now that it's summer and Mommy has been taking us swimming pretty much every day. And every day we're getting to be better swimmers. We kick, and scoop and go under water. We just love it.
Liam is a little more daring than Lucy - which makes Mommy very nervous. That's why she got us swim vests which help keep us from sinking. They enable us to practice our swimming techniques and they give Mommy a litte peace of mind. Plus it's easier for her to handle both of us in the pool.
The vests also help us go down the slide - BY OURSELVES! At first we were a little scared. But then one day, Liam just went for it. Of course Lucy couldn't be outdone by her brother so she went for it. It helps knowing Mommy's at the bottom waiting to catch us. But now, we don't even need her to catch us because we can swim to the steps by ourselves.
Here's some footage of Liam in action. Mommy accidentally erased footage of Lucy but she'll get some next time we're at the pool so stay tuned for that. Until then...

Wow Liam, you have come on so well with your swimming - well done! We hope we can all do plenty of swimming when you come to visit us. Wish our pool was outdoors but we don't have all the sunny days that you have! We hope you all enjoy your trip to Tucson and are counting down the weeks till we see you allxxxx

Watching Liam swim reminded me of his Grammy and me when we were little. We were like little fish! We LOVED the water. Your Grammy was the most fabulous swimmer. I think we were all little fishes in our past lives. To think about it, Liam and Lucy were born under the Water Sign, like their Aunt Neannie. So it is in our souls. I loved watching Liam doing the back stroke, so naturally.
