Trying to keep all of our clothes organized by size, season and style has been a bit overwhelming for Mommy. So when Auntie Kim came to visit with a suitcase the size of Rhode Island filled with hand-me-down clothes for Lucy, she just about lost it. It seems a bit silly that a few baby clothes could put a new mom into a straight jacket right? But we have sooooo many clothes (not that we're complaining) we've taken over half of Mommy's closet and her dresser. Not to mention storage boxes stacked to the ceiling.
But Auntie Kim came to Mommy's rescue. She shook Mommy by the shoulders and said, "I've come to help". And that's exactly what she did.
Not only did she sit down with Mommy to sort through all the clothes, but she taught her a very important strategy: organize into outfits. Big deal right? Well, when you get about 4 hours sleep a night, the easiest tasks soon become as complicated as geometry. And when you spend 30 minutes every morning trying to dress two babies - pre-made outfits are key.
But Auntie Kim did more than clothes. Oh ya, that woman took us on - solo - so Mommy could sleep. We didn't intimidate her one bit. Oh no, our crying didn't even make her blink. We were putty in her hands. Mama needed sleep, Auntie Kim had her back. There was no gettin' around her which was fine because we had fun with Auntie Kim - she knew how to make us smile.
We can't wait to see her again. Her visit really brightened Mommy's weekend. And you know what they say: "happy babies come from happy mamas, happy mamas have friends from California".

Yeah!!!! Glad to hear that Auntie Kim came to your rescue! That Babs certainly has a way of making things all better...in a mommying sort of way. Her mommy was a great teacher and Babs obviously paid attention. Photos are VERY cute - love those smiling babies!!
So happy one of us finally got there. We try not to overwhelm you with too much mommyism's because none of us have experience with twins!! You are doing a great job.
