You can imagine that we go through our fair share of diapers so when Mommy saw that our brand was on sale at Babies R Us ($30 for a box of 216) she packed us (and Grammy) up and rushed out to buy some before they sold out (first come, first serve - no rain checks).
Everything was great until out of the clear blue sky we started to fuss. So Mommy and Grammy cut their shopping spree short and headed to the check out lane.
Then we got out to the car - screaming babies, 100+ degree weather, small trunk, 3 huge Pamper boxes, and Mommy's big toenail - GONE! She dropped one of the diaper boxes on just the right spot and ripped the nail right from its bed! Ouch.
Grammy drives to Urgent Care. Mommy sits in shock. We're silent - for a while.
Mommy says that the five shots she had to get in her big toe was worse than getting an epidural. And that when the doctor yanked off the hanging nail and implanted a temperary one, the pain was worse than giving birth to twins.
And to add insult to injury, the emergency co-pay was triple the amount that she saved by getting the diapers. At least they gave her Vicodin - though she can only take half the dose otherwise she'll sleep through our feedings.
Mommy reckons she should get a 9-nail discount on pedicures for the next year. We can't argue with that.

Hello Liam & Lucy our precious little cutie pies. What's all this about you crying & all. Poor mommy is moving too fast. With shopping & all. She relly has a toe without a nail and that really is painful. So why don't you both cry very low and also one at a time.

Arrrggghhh - that story and photo made me gag. I think you should tell your story to the Pampers company and they MIGHT give you a few free boxes! After all, your children will be helping to keep their stock up over the next few years.
