Fall Festival

Our school had its annual fall festival with a costume parade and lots of fun activities. Unfortunately the "parade" went so quickly Mommy didn't have enough time to record it. It was a bit anticlimactic and Mommy felt really bad because she convinced Grammy, Papa, Uncle Mike and Aunt Sherrie to come see us!

Lucy walking in her class parade, waving to her fans.

Lucy with some of her classmates - post parade.

Liam was not keen on wearing his Captain America costume. His teacher, Mrs. Pandya convinced him to put it on so he could participate but as soon as the parade was over he couldn't get out of it fast enough. Not sure why, he picked out the costume himself. Perhaps it's the English blood running through his veins!?! Anyway, that was the end of Captain America. He was the only kid at the festival in his school uniform instead of a costume*.

The school lined the parking lot with scarecrows. Every morning Liam would tell Mommy, 'the blue one is my favorite.'

Lucy on the other hand was soooooo excited to wear her Abby Cadabby costume in the parade with her classmates. She could barely sleep a wink the night before in anticipation of the big day.

Lucy with the school principal, Mrs. Bender who also happens to be an expert face-painter.

When did Frankenstein and Witches get so cute?

Lucy with her friend Catherine (they look like THEY could be twins)

The best part of the morning was getting to play with our classmates out of class. Classmates like Topher. Topher was in Lucy's class last year and is in Liam's class this year. Topher and Liam are best of buddies. Mrs. Pandya very often has to separate them in class because they get a little rambunctious. Lucy was so happy to get play with him.

Riding in the trains caboose with Topher (dressed as 'the UPS man'). Liam didn't want to go -he may have been a bit jealous that Topher wanted to hang out with Lucy so much.
Lucy and Topher -- hug buddies. They're 3 - should Mommy be worried?
It was a really fun morning. A wonderful start to our Halloween weekend. Now bring on the candy!!!
* Nanny sent us Halloween costumes again this year - Merlin and a cute kitty. Liam decided at the 11th hour that Merlin better suited him for Halloween. Lucy was die hard for Abby Cadabby though. Thanks again Nanny for the costumes!! xxx
