We have been infatuated with the beach and everything it has to offer for quite some time. It's weird to Mommy that we're nearly 3 and have never seen the ocean. Especially since she lived so close to it for so long. Living in Atlanta means the closest beach is a 5-hour drive away.
Papa decided that it was time for us to experience the sea so he rented a condo at Tybee Beach (right outside of Savannah) for the weekend. It was right on the water so we had an incredible view from the living room and were only steps away from the action.
And thanks to that volcano in Iceland, Nanny and Grandad were able to come too!
After the long drive (which again we handled very well) we couldn't WAIT to get to the beach. Who cares that it was a little cold and windy? We stripped down to our 'unda-way-a' and did our own version of chariots of fire. We are fans!
Unfortunately Mommy was sick most of the weekend, but thankfully we had two sets of grandparents to look after us. We played in the water, collected sea shells, flew kites and threw sand into the wind.
We can't wait to go again. We think Papa ought to explore a different beach every weekend this summer - and of course take us with him...

I wanna go next time! Looks like lots of fun. San Diego on the East Coast. Sounds like a new family tradition!
