Wow -- we have been so busy decorating the house and getting ready for Christmas we completely forgot to write about Thanksgiving. It was our third TG but the first we were able to sit at the table and eat with everyone. Well, sort of. It didn't last long. We weren't too keen on the food. Mommy reckons it's the English in us. But really, if it's not mac-n-cheese and hot dogs we're not interested.
But we LOVED hanging (literally) with Aunt Candi and Uncle Mike. And even though we didn't eat, everyone else gobbled down the food Grammy slaved over. We did get to help make Papa's chocolate cream pie though -- licking the beaters is the best!
Yes, that is one doozy of a shiner that Liam is sporting...

Lucy's favorite spot -- on Uncle Mikey.
The next afternoon we went out to Uncle Mike's for a huge Christmas carnival at the golf club. There was a train, a horse-drawn buggy, a fire engine, bouncy jumps, a huge Christmas tree and fireworks. We had a blast especially because we got to stay up waaaay past our bedtime. It was great way to kick off the holidays. Lucy and Papa taking Uncle Mikey's new golf cart for a joy ride

Today Grammy, Papa and Mommy took us to the mall to see Santa Claus. We've been getting prepped for this meeting for over a week now. Mommy's been reading a book to us every night called, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' and it's really helped us understand how amazing Santa is. We also did a test run where Grammy pretended like she was Santa and we took turns sitting on her lap and telling her what we wanted for Christmas. She does a really good, 'ho-ho-ho'.
We got to the mall well prepared and very excited. We waited in line very patiently. It was our turn and Lucy marched right up to Santa, hopped up on his knee, gave him a good look over, and got down to business with her list (a pink lolly pop and an ice cream cone). Liam, wanted nothing to do with Santa. We barely got a picture -- he was terrified. But, Lucy made sure to tell Santa what Liam wanted (a train and a purple lolly pop).
Mommy tells us Santa's going to be at another mall tomorrow. We may go see him again though we don't want to traumatize Liam so we're going to have to play it by ear.

Absolutely hysterical and certainly brought back memories. We just did Santa and I was so busy filming with video and the camera b/c Katies has become all too smart for a 7 year old. We are holding out hope and glad to see you have plenty of years for them to magic of Santa! Happy Holidays. Miss you! By the way, it's been about -5 to 5 degrees for the past few days. Freezing :)

Hello all. Merry Christmas from England. We've had loads of snow (as im sure you're grandparents have told you).
Liam, don't worry about the scary man with the beard, Jemima didn't seem too impressed by Andrew either!
She didn't like Santa either.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the new year.
Lots of Love
