Can you believe it's been over a month since returning from our trip to England and Mommy is just now getting around to posting the pictures? She suspects Starbucks is doing something funny with her drinks.
Anyway, we had the most amazing time.
Mommy has included two slideshows (two because of blog size constraints) from our trip.
The first slideshow is from our christening which was absolutely beautiful. Our Nanny arranged every little detail from our gorgeous little outfits, to our fairy tale cake - even the sun was shining for a bit! It was a perfect day. Unfortunately there aren't that many pictures of Nanny which really bums us out.
The ceremony was held at St. Cuthbert's Church - the same church that Daddy was christened in. And since it's located in the village we walked there - actually, we didn't walk - we were strolled.
Auntie Candi and Uncle Mike (who flew in for the weekend with Auntie Sherrie from Atlanta) are Lucy's god parents and Auntie Stephanie and Daddy's best friend Paul Miller (who drove up from Cambridge - with Rebecca - for the day) are Liam's god parents. We know that they will always be there for us - especially when we're teenagers and need to go somewhere for the summer months!
Some other highlights from our trip:
- Flying over with Grammy and Grandpa - they are so easy to travel with
- Our stop at Heathrow's Terminal 5 - without a stroller - oiy!
- Getting picked up in Newcastle by Nanny, Grandad and Auntie Steph - and then getting to do a 'Britney Spears' in the airport parking lot
- Meeting all of our wonderful relatives - we come from good stock
- Spending time with our Great Gran - she does the best raspberries
- Swapping banana bread recipes with Rosemary and Norman - actually Rosemary's recipe
- Going to our first football match - Grandad's team was in the finals!
- Having Auntie Steph and Uncle Philip give us baths - they're pros
- Nanny showing us off to all her friends - she has soooo many friends
- Our trip to Saltburn-by-the-Sea to meet Lynn and Chris - and then Grandad splitting his pants (tee hee)
- Meeting up with Neil, Andrew and Lucy at the 'court' in Whitby
- Dinner and bath at Great Auntie Pamela and Great Uncle Mick's - wonder when they're going to be grandparents...
- Brunch with all the girls at Great Auntie Margaret's - Liam was the only boy!
- Going to the Stadium of Light with Grandad - very impressive
- Hanging out with Daddy's buddies - Tommy, Daryl, Micky, Jonny, Chris, Graham and Matt (and their lovely significant others)
- Playing musical lap with all the wonderful friends from the village who came to our open house - Nanny and Grandad really know how to throw a pa-eh!
We could go on and on but we know you want to see the slideshows.
Unfortunately, we didn't get pictures of everyone which really stinks. Mommy feels bad that she didn't get better shots. Thanks to Philip, Mick and Neil for sending over their pictures.
Anyway, we hope you enjoy.
P.S. - Don't give up on the blog. Mommy's going to have a little chat with the good people at Starbucks. That should help with keeping our site updated - until we start walking...

Our trip to your daddy's home was one g-pa and I will never forget. We loved visiting with everyone and sharing your special day in the beautiful little church where you were baptized. There was so much love from so many wonderful loving friends and family. You two shined so brightly and we are so proud of you. P.s. you have an amazing mum.....

Hello Liam, Lucy and Nikki!
It was a real treat to meet you all!
You are three very very special people and must surely light up the paths of all those you cross.
It is a delight to watch your growth and to share in the wonder of your daily discoveries.
Nikki you are a wonderful role model for mums everywhere.
Another thing's for sure, Liam and Lucy, you guys have truly lovely grandparents who break the mould - and with style!
Who can forget Grandpa Dave, for example, when he broke the mould of his bargain jeans, thus revealing further levels of his multi-faceted nature? I mean, how often do any of us get to behold an unscheduled showing of the official Sunderland United Football Club shorts over an early lunch?
And, frankly, we who have seen - how can we forget?
