Today is a very special day. A day, we were told, to be extra good for Mommy. So that's what we did.
- We slept in till 8am so Mommy could enjoy her first cup of coffee without interruption.
- We ate our pancakes without putting the syrup-coated plates on our heads when we were finished.
- We went to the grocery store and stayed in the cart even when we weren't strapped in (the belts were broken).
- We used the potty at the grocery store without crawling under the stalls.
- We helped Mommy bake a pink and blue birthday cake.
- We did NOT take a nap.
- We sang, 'Happy Birthday' and blew out her candles.
- We sat still and smiled while Mommy set the camera timer to take our picture (which actually turned out pretty good)
- We helped eat her pink and blue birthday cake.
- We went to Starbucks and listened to Mommy talk the barista into giving her a free 'birthday latte'.
- We went to the park and played off our sugar high.
- We came home, watched Barney, ate dinner, took a bath, read a story and went to bed.
We'd say she had the perfect day!
Oh, and thanks to everyone for remembering to call, FB and text -- it meant a lot.
