So Mommy hasn't been good about keeping the blog updated like it should be. It's just that we're such a handful these days. The only time she has is at night - once we're in bed - and frankly she's pooped by then. Still, documenting our lives is important so she promises to try and stay on track -- starting with a new slide show (see 'Summer 2009' under the 'Slide show' section).
Here are a few things we're up:
Liam -- continues to be obsessed with vacuums -- especially those at gas stations. He lets us know every time we pass one by saying, 'vah-cooooooom'. He also points out every public restroom, 'bah-ooooooooom' and anything blue, 'boooo'.
Lucy -- was very disappointed the other day when we didn't have any more orange juice. So she insisted Mommy pick her up and hold her next to our erasable notepad on the fridge. She took the attached marker, removed the cap, and made several little marks in a row under Mommy's grocery list. It dawned on Mommy that Lucy was adding 'orange juice' to the list.
Liam -- wants to do everything himself. Mommy puts him in his car seat and when she buckles him in, he grabs the straps and says, 'I do it, I do it'. Close the door -- 'I do it', Clean the litter box, 'I do it', Dishes in the dishwasher, 'I do it', Clean his poopy butt, 'I do it'. You get the idea?
Lucy -- has the longest attention span. She can keep herself busy for hours building Legos, putting puzzles together, coloring, reading, stashing her stuff. Her only interruption is Liam who is always stealing her things. Though she gets even at meal times when she takes food off his plate when he's not looking - drives him nuts which just makes her giggle.
Liam -- loves to help Grandpa move heavy things. He even sticks out his tongue and grunts when he does it -- just like Grandpa.
Lucy -- is very competitive. She refuses to be one-up'd. When Liam gets praise for something, she's right there showing that she can do it too. Liam dances, Lucy dances harder. Liam sings, Lucy sings louder. Liam does one somersault, Lucy does five. Liam says, 'blue', Lucy says, 'pink'. She gets this trait from Mommy.
Some things we share:
- We are both very compassionate. If you have any kind of boo boo, we will find it, and we will kiss it.
- We are very affectionate. You cannot enter or leave the house (or go nigh-night) without a hug and a variety of kisses -- slobbery on-the-mouth, Eskimo and butterfly.
- We have tempers you've never seen before. They're really bad - especially when we have them at the same time. Maybe Mommy will get us in action sometime and post to the blog.
We could go on and on, but instead, we'll just bug Mommy to keep the blog updated. So stay tuned and enjoy the slide show...
