Today is our birthday...

...nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah...it's your birthday too ya!

That's right -- we are two today! Hard to believe, we know, but we are full-blown toddlers. Liam is even getting his two-year molars - right on time and driving him nuts -- poor guy's had a 103-degree temperature for 2 days - but he rallied for the festivities.

Mommy decorated the house with balloons - which are just amazing. Balloons are the best and cheapest entertainment ever and they kept us busy until we opened our presents. And boy did we get presents - loads! And we finally understand what it means to unwrap presents - what a great idea to wrap toys. Who thought of that right?

Lucy's favorite book right now is called, 'Bear About Town'. And in this book is a page with an elaborately illustrated bakery window full of treats. There are two cakes in one of the windows that Lucy always points to and asks, 'That?'. Mommy points to one and says, 'That's Lucy's cake, and that's Liam's cake'. And this pleases Lucy tremendously. She reads this book 4-5 times a day, and each time opens it up to this particular page and points to 'her' cake.

Well, guess what kind of cakes we got today for our birthday? Yep, the cakes in the window. Mommy re-created them just for us. Mmmmmmmm...

When it came time to cut the cakes, Liam wasted no time digging in. Lucy on the other hand, would NOT let Mommy cut hers. In fact, she was horrified when she saw Mommy cutting into Liam's and she quickly covered hers up and shook her head 'no'. So we all ate Liam's who was happy to share.

After cake, we went down into our playroom to work off the sugar high. Seriously, we were like two wild animals. We laughed, we cried, we giggled, we danced, we jumped, we hugged, we kissed, we bit, we wrestled... Come to think of it, it was like any other afternoon. Needless to say, we kept our audience (Aunt Neannie, Aunt Candi, Grammy, Grandpa and Mommy) thoroughly entertained. It was a great day!
