We've only been on this planet for 6 days and already we've wiped out Mommy. Frankly, we don't know where she found the energy to start this blog now of all times - maybe it's those venti, iced drinks with the green straw. She drinks 'em like we drink our milk - very fast and very often. I guess we all have our vices.
Anyway, so far we're pretty impressed with life outside the womb. We'll spare you the details of our birth but will say that we didn't give Mommy a hard time at all! It happened very quickly and we got to go home after only 24 hours which we were all thrilled about.
So far we've met our Grammy (who was in the delivery room) and she's super awesome and helps out Mommy in so many ways. We also met our Grandpa who was waiting for us outside of the delivery room. And Grammy's friend Auntie Merilee visited us in the hospital - nice lady.
Though a little confused at first, Scrappy (our doggie), Mister and Elcie (our kitties) have embraced our arrival - yes even without thumbs they embraced us. I think our cries confuse them sometimes, but they've been good sports and already Scrappy is very protective of us.
Opa, Nana, Auntie Tammy and cousins Tyler and Jenna drove from LA to hang out with us - they're smitten kittens for sure!!! It was fun to be around such a lively bunch. We are definately not timid babies which seems to please Mommy. We left the house for the first time at 5-days old to have dinner with them at the hotel and even though we couldn't order off the menu, we had a good time and hardly fussed at all.
Uncle Miller (Daddy's best friend) who's doing a summer medical school program at UCLA, drove out for less than a 12-hour stay to meet us. Now that's love! He's good people and know why he and Daddy were buddies. We were really happy to meet him. Mommy was really happy to see him too. We're bummed that he lives so far away in England, but Mommy says that's what airplanes are for and it's not that big of a pond.
Great Auntie Neannie and Uncle Bob flew out from LA early this morning to have a lookie -- we think we've done a good job winning them over - like it was hard! We have that effect on people. And so far our crying hasn't bothered them at all. They're pretty easy-going. We can't wait to go visit them on that airplane thingy Mommy was talking about.
Tonight we get to meet our Auntie Candi who's flying in from Atlanta. We've heard she's pretty cool so we're looking forward to it. We're also going to be staying the night at Grammy and Grandpa's house (with Mommy and Scrappy of course) so we'll see how she likes listening to us cry for our night feedings -- we KNOW how Uncle Mikey will like it and can't wait to stay over when HE visits -- tee hee!
Lastly, we had our first doctor's appointment on Friday and so far we're doing really well - especially considering that we were 4 weeks early. We were very well-behaved for Dr. Traquair and will see him again in another month.
Mommy tells us that we have many more family and friends yet to meet and we can't wait. We're starting to realize that we're very much loved by a lot of people and you know it feels pretty darn good!
So, there you have it, our first blog entry. We hope you have enjoyed the show (one of the songs Mommy sings to us...) Keep visiting because as long as they continue making Mommy those iced drinks, our blog will continue to be updated.
Lots of Love,
Liam & Lucy Snaith

We can't wait to meet you two and when you're older, I'll sit down with you and tell you lots of stories abour you mom when she used to live in San Diego.
